Claude MCP Explained: Let Claude Build Your Funnel For You

· AI Workflows
Prices and terms last verified October 21, 2026.

For 30 years I’ve watched good people quit at the same spot.

Not at the idea. At the tech.

  • The page builder with 40 buttons
  • The form that won’t talk to the email list
  • The follow-up emails nobody can figure out how to set up

That wall just came down. Claude can now build all of it for you, inside your own account, while you watch.

Claude MCP lets Claude work inside your other tools. MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is a plug that connects Claude to software like Builder by HBA. Add the connector once, and Claude can build your pages, form, email list and follow-up emails for you, start to finish. You approve each step.

Ever had a great idea for a page, then lost a whole weekend fighting the software?

You’re not alone. I’ve been online since 1996. I’ve watched it happen to more people than I can count.

They knew who they wanted to help. They knew what to give away. Then they opened the page builder, saw a wall of buttons, and quietly gave up somewhere around the email settings.

That’s over.

What Is Claude MCP, In Plain English?

MCP is a plug that lets Claude reach into your other software and do the work there, with your permission.

The people who made it say it like this: “Think of MCP like a USB-C port for AI applications.” One plug. Lots of things fit it.

Anthropic, the company behind Claude, released it in November 2024. Builder by HBA has one. systeme.io has one. Gmail and Google Drive have them.

Inside Claude, each plug is called a connector. You add it once. After that, Claude can work in that account whenever you ask.

Picture an old gold prospector.

For years, Claude was the old-timer with the map. He could tell you exactly where to dig, how deep, and which way the gold runs. Then he’d sit on the porch and watch you swing the pick.

A connector hands him the pick.

Claude without a connector
Tells you how
  • Writes your page, then you paste it in
  • Writes your emails, then you set them up
  • Lists the steps, then you learn every screen
  • You do all the clicking
Claude with a connector
Does it for you
  • Builds the page inside your account
  • Creates your email list and sign-up form
  • Loads your follow-up emails
  • You read, approve, and say "publish"

Here’s how the pieces fit together.

What Can Claude Build For You Now?

Pretty much the whole funnel. Start to finish.

Here’s one I ran. I asked Claude to build a small funnel in my own Builder by HBA account. It made three pages: an opt-in page, a “you’re confirmed” page and a bonus page. It made the email list to go with them. And it hooked the sign-up form to that list.

I didn’t drag one box.

Here’s what HBA’s connector lets Claude do, from the connector’s own list of tools:

The jobThe old wayWith Claude and the connector
Website and pagesLearn the page builder, drag every boxAsk. Claude builds the pages
Sign-up formFind the form settings, link it to a listClaude adds the form and ties it to your list
Email listOpen the email tool, create and name itClaude creates it
Follow-up emailsWrite each one, set each delay by handClaude writes and loads the whole sequence
Thank-you pageBuild it, then wire the form to send people thereClaude builds it and points the form at it
Blog postsWrite, format, add to the blogClaude writes and posts drafts for you
Quiz, booking page, member areaThree more tools to learnClaude sets them up in the same account
Going liveHope you clicked everything rightClaude shows you first, then publishes when you say so

Look at that middle column. That’s where people quit.

Now look at the last one.

You stop being the tech guy. You become the boss who says "yes, publish it."

Can Claude Give You Expert Advice Too?

Yes. And this part saves you from the worst mistake in this business: picking the wrong thing to promote.

On 21 October an email landed in my inbox. It promised my $25 could grow into $5,425. It sounded exciting. It was signed by a “founder” I’d never heard of.

So I asked Claude to dig into it, the way a good reporter would.

Before lunch the same day, I had a full report. Who runs it. How the money really moves. Why most people in it would lose. And the part that surprised me most: how promoting it could put ME in trouble with the FTC.

I’d have spent a whole day on that research. And honestly? I might have missed the FTC part.

Want to check an offer before you put your name on it? Paste this into Claude, then paste the offer under it:

Prompt
Act like a careful investigative reporter. I got the offer below and I'm thinking about joining or promoting it. Find out: 1. Who runs it, and what can you confirm about them? 2. How does the money really move? Do people get paid from outside customers who want the product, or mostly from new people joining? 3. What would it cost me in the first year, all in? 4. What does the FTC say about promoting something like this, and what could go wrong for me as a promoter? 5. Give me a plain GO or NO GO for someone with a small list or no list, and why. Show me where you found each fact. If you can't confirm something, say so. Use plain words.

Expert advice on tap. Then expert hands to build it.

That’s the AHA.

What’s Your Excuse Now?

Be honest. One of these has stopped you before. Tap yours.

Pick the excuse that's stopped you

Tap an excuse above.

Seven of those eight are gone. The last one is real, and I’ll tell you straight what to do about it further down.

How Do You Connect Claude To Builder By HBA?

Six steps. No code. No tech guy.

Before you start, here’s the deal on price. I’m an HBA affiliate, so if you join Builder by HBA through my link, HBA pays me a commission. Your price stays the same: $25 a month for Builder by HBA, per HBA’s checkout page.

  1. Make a free Claude account. Go to claude.ai and sign up. Free is fine to start.
  2. Have your Builder by HBA account ready. You'll log in to it in step 5.
  3. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
  4. Name it and paste the address. Name: The Home Business Academy. Address: https://thehba.app/api/mcp. Click Continue.
  5. Log in to HBA and approve. HBA asks you to sign in and okay the connection. Then click Add.
  6. Switch it on in a chat. In a new chat, click the + at the lower left, choose Connectors, and turn HBA on.

One catch on free Claude. Claude’s help center says: “Free users are limited to one custom connector.” So on the free plan, pick the one you’ll build in. For most people reading this, that’s HBA.

Here’s the habit that keeps you safe.

When Claude wants to use a tool, it asks first. Leave that asking turned on while you learn. “Create an email list called Free Checklist” is fine to approve fast. “Send a broadcast to everyone” is not, until you’ve read every word.

Approve the small stuff fast. Read the big stuff twice.

What Do You Say To Claude?

Two prompts. That’s the whole system.

Prompt 1: Let Claude interview you

The page is the easy part now. Knowing who it’s for is the job.

So don’t ask Claude to guess who you should help. Ask it to find that person in your own life. Paste this into any Claude chat:

Prompt
You're helping me plan a small online business. Interview me one question at a time, up to 10 questions, and wait for each answer. Ask about my work history, what friends ask me for help with, what I've struggled with myself, who I already talk to online and where, and what I'd be glad to promote. Then write four short sections: 1. MY PERSON: one person, a first name and age, their situation, and their problem in their own words. 2. MY FREE GIFT: three ideas for something small and free that solves one problem this person has this week. Pick the best one and say why. 3. MY OFFER: the one product my emails should point to, and why it fits this person. 4. MY CHANNEL: the one place to start showing up, and why. Plain words. Don't invent facts about me. No income promises. If you need something, ask.

Read what comes back out loud. If MY PERSON doesn’t sound like anyone you’ve ever met, tell Claude so, and name a real person it should sound like.

Prompt 2: Let Claude build it

Now the fun part. Type your answers into the three boxes below, and your build prompt writes itself. Then hit Copy and paste it into Claude with the HBA connector switched on.

Your build prompt, filled in for you

Here’s your prompt. It updates as you type:

Prompt
Use my Home Business Academy connector. Build my first funnel in Builder by HBA from the notes below. Ask me up to 3 questions first if you need to. MY PERSON: [who this is for]. MY FREE GIFT: [what they get free]. MY OFFER LINK: [your offer link]. 1. Create a new website for this funnel. 2. Create an email list named after my free gift. 3. Build the opt-in page first: a headline for my person, three short bullets on what the gift does for them, and a sign-up form tied to that list. The button says: Send me the free gift. 4. Build the thank-you page: tell them to check their email, and add a button to my offer link. 5. If my gift is a short guide or checklist, write it as a page on the same site. 6. Write a 5-email follow-up sequence on that list. Email 1 delivers the gift right away. Then one email every 2 days. Each one teaches one small thing my person needs. Email 5 points to my offer link. Plain words. No income claims. Sign each one with my name. 7. Show me every page and email with links. Don't publish anything and don't send anything until I say yes.

That last line matters most.

Building can be undone. Sending can’t.

What Happens After You Hit Enter?

Here’s what you’ll see, so nothing surprises you.

  1. Claude asks you a few questions. Answer in plain words. It’s making sure it builds the right thing.
  2. Claude asks permission to use HBA. A little box pops up. Read it, then click Allow.
  3. Claude builds. You’ll watch it make the site, the list, the pages and the emails, one step at a time.
  4. Claude shows you links. Open each page. Read each email. Ask for changes the same way you’d ask a friend: “Make the headline shorter.”
  5. You say “publish.” Not before.
  6. You test it. Sign up on your own page with your own email. Make sure email 1 shows up.

Want the emails to sound more like you and less like a robot? I showed the before and after on a real sales page in my AI copywriting post.

How Much Does It Cost To Start?

Less than you’d think. Here are three ways in, side by side.

Your monthly cost, three ways

Free Claude + systeme.io free plan
$0
Free Claude + Builder by HBA
$25
Claude Pro + Builder by HBA
$45

Claude Pro is $20 a month billed monthly, per Claude's pricing page. Builder by HBA is $25 a month at checkout. systeme.io's free plan is $0.

Simple math. Claude Pro plus Builder by HBA is $45 a month, at the prices on their own pages. That’s $1.50 a day.

For that, you get a tool that builds and an assistant that builds it for you. Builder by HBA has a 72-hour money-back guarantee on a new paid membership. Trials don’t get one. Cancel any time from Manage subscription in your HBA profile.

And here’s what I’d pay HBA’s $25 for even if the software were free. Every Builder by HBA member gets the people:

A room full of buildersThe HBA community. Ask a question at 9 PM and someone who's built the same page answers.
Builder training, liveCalls on Builder by HBA every week. Miss one and catch the replay.
Monday nights at 8 EasternThe "What's Working Now" session. Every member gets it, not just Premium.
One login for Claude to work inPages, forms, email and blog live together, so Claude builds it all in one place.

Software doesn’t stall beginners. Being alone and stuck on step three does.

What Claude Still Can’t Do For You

Here’s the catch. I’d rather you hear it from me now than find it out later.

It doesn’t bring anybody. Claude builds the page. It does NOT put one human being in front of it. You still have to show up where your person spends time, every week, and point them to your page. That’s the “I don’t have a list” excuse, and it’s the one that’s real. The good news? Every hour you used to lose to the tech can now go here.

It builds your mistakes faster too. If you skip Prompt 1 and guess at who you’re helping, Claude builds the wrong funnel in an afternoon. That’s still better than the old way. You find out sooner.

Some things stay in the app. Claude can’t upload photos from your computer. You upload them to your Builder by HBA media library, and Claude can use them from there. Hooking up payments, Google Calendar or a YouTube channel also happens in the app, by you.

What Claude writes is yours. If Claude puts “make $5,000 a month” in an email and you approve it, the FTC sees your claim, not Claude’s. I wrote up what the FTC expects from affiliates. Read every email before it goes out, and cut any promise about money.

Who This Is For, and Who It Isn’t

This IS for you if:
  • ✅ The tech has stopped you before
  • ✅ You'll spend an evening on Prompt 1
  • ✅ You'll show up for your person every week
  • ✅ You'd rather approve than click
This is NOT for you if:
  • ❌ You want money without showing up
  • ❌ You won't read what Claude writes
  • ❌ You want Claude to choose your people for you
  • ❌ You're waiting until you feel ready

Your First Afternoon With Claude MCP

I teach the glass walk at live events. People stand at the edge of a bed of broken bottles, sure they can’t do it.

Then they do.

Nobody walks it feeling ready. You check your footing and take one step. Then the next.

Here are your steps. Check them off as you go. This page remembers your progress on this device.

Your first afternoon

0 of 9. Step one takes two minutes.

Step 9 is the one that pays. Steps 1 through 8 make sure there’s something there when people show up.

Which Should You Connect First?

Start with Builder by HBA if you can spend $25 a month. Claude builds real pages, not just a template, plus the list, the form and the emails, all in one place. And you get the community and the live calls when you get stuck. I build in Builder by HBA myself, and it does what HBA says it does. If you want the bigger picture first, read my full HBA review or how HBA’s own AI builder works.

Start with systeme.io’s free plan if you truly have $0 right now. That’s my affiliate link too, and the free plan stays free. systeme.io’s own MCP page says its connector comes with every plan, Free included. To connect it, open systeme.io, click your profile picture, then Settings, then MCP & API keys, and make a key. Your connector address is https://mcp.systeme.io/mcp?mcpKey= with your key pasted on the end. systeme.io’s help center says “MCP keys are valid for a maximum of 90 days,” so put a reminder on your calendar for day 85. Through Claude, systeme.io fills a template rather than building pages from scratch. I covered the rest in my systeme.io review.

Either way, the hard part used to be the tech.

Now the hard part is deciding to start.

So start. Today.

Bless and be blessed,

Rob Fore

Claude MCP FAQs

What does MCP stand for in Claude?

Model Context Protocol. It's an open standard Anthropic released in November 2024. It lets an AI app like Claude connect to outside tools, so Claude can work inside them instead of only chatting with you.

Do I need to know how to code to use Claude MCP?

No. You add a connector in Claude's settings by pasting one web address and logging in to the tool. After that you talk to Claude in plain English, and it does the clicking for you.

Can free Claude use connectors?

Yes, with one limit. Claude's help center says custom connectors work on every plan, Free included, but free users get one custom connector. Builder by HBA and systeme.io are both custom connectors, so on free Claude you pick one.

What can Claude build in Builder by HBA?

Through HBA's connector, Claude can build a website and its pages, a sign-up form tied to an email list, the list itself, follow-up email sequences, broadcasts, blog posts, membership areas, quizzes and booking pages. It shows you its work and asks before it publishes.

Is it safe to let Claude work in my account?

Claude asks your permission before it uses a tool, unless you tell it to always allow that tool. In Builder by HBA, saving a page doesn't publish it. Read each request, and never approve an email to your whole list without reading it.

How much does Claude MCP cost?

The connector itself costs nothing. You can start at $0 with free Claude and systeme.io's free plan. Builder by HBA is $25 a month. Claude Pro is $20 a month if you outgrow the free plan's messages.

Will Claude MCP get me traffic?

No. Claude builds the page, the list and the emails. Nobody visits a page because Claude built it. You still have to show up where your people spend time and point them to your page.
