ClickFunnels starts at $97 a month and systeme.io tops out at $97 a month, both checked 15 August 2026. At 10,000 contacts systeme.io costs $47 and ClickFunnels costs $97. Neither charges transaction fees. ClickFunnels wins on team seats and on scale above 150,000 contacts. Below that, the price gap is hard to justify.

So read the next section knowing that one of these two companies pays me every month and the other one does not.

Here is the fact that makes the comparison worth writing anyway.

ClickFunnels starts at $97 a month. systeme.io ends at $97 a month.

Same number.

Opposite ends of the ladder.

What Each One Actually Costs

Both tables were taken from the vendors’ own pricing pages on 15 August 2026.

Neither platform charges transaction fees. Both say so on their own pricing pages, checked 15 August 2026.

That line matters more than it looks.

“0% transaction fees” is the single most repeated claim in systeme.io affiliate content, and it is usually written as though it were a point of difference.

It is NOT. Not against ClickFunnels.

What Does The Same Money Buy?

Take one number and hold both platforms to it. 10,000 contacts, because both sell exactly that.

So at the same contact count you are looking at $47 against $97 a month - $470 against $972 a year - as of 15 August 2026.

Roughly DOUBLE.

And that is for a plan giving you fewer courses and a metered email allowance.

Where ClickFunnels Genuinely Wins

This is the section most comparisons written by systeme.io affiliates do not include. Mine would be worthless without it.

Team seats. ClickFunnels publishes them: 2, 5, 10 and 20 by tier. systeme.io does not state a seat count on its pricing page at all. If more than one person needs to be in the account, that is a real gap and you should confirm it before switching.

Scale above 150,000 contacts. systeme.io’s top plan says “unlimited” for $97. ClickFunnels sells 400,000 contacts on a plan that costs $5,997 a year. One of those two numbers is a marketing word and the other is a written ceiling, and at genuine volume I would want the written one.

Email volume in writing. ClickFunnels tells you 50,000 sends a month on Launch. systeme.io says unlimited on every tier including the $17 one. Unlimited sending on a cheap plan means you share sending infrastructure with everybody else on that cheap plan, and deliverability is theirs, not yours.

Ecosystem. More templates, more agencies, more people who already know the product, more courses about it. That is worth real money when you are stuck at 11pm, and it never appears in a pricing table.

Where systeme.io Wins

Price, obviously. Half the cost at the same contact count. The ladder starts at zero.

A real free plan. Not a trial. 2,000 contacts, three funnels and one course, no card, no expiry. ClickFunnels gives you 14 days and a 30-day money back guarantee, which is a refund, not a free tier.

Courses included properly. Unlimited on the $47 plan against three on the $97 plan.

Nothing meters except contacts. One number to watch. Anybody who has tried to reconcile an email-send allowance against a contact allowance against a funnel count will understand why that is worth something.

Is The Free Plan Really A Substitute For A Trial?

Mostly yes.

This is the practical difference between the two.

A 14-day trial makes you decide on a deadline. A free plan lets you build the thing, park it, come back in three weeks and decide when you actually know something. For anybody starting out, the second one is worth more than the feature list.

Fourteen days is not long enough to learn whether you like a platform…

It is long enough to learn whether it looks nice.

How Does Each Affiliate Program Pay?

Both pay. The difference is not the rate, it is the gate.

Both columns come from the vendors’ own pages on 15 August 2026, ClickFunnels’ from its affiliate tiers support article and systeme.io’s from help center article 162, which the company last updated 28 July 2026.

Two corrections to what this page said before 15 August 2026. systeme.io’s marketing page prints $10.20 as the commission on a $17 plan, and I repeated it. Their help center says VAT comes off first and their own example lands at $8.43. Separately, this table used to give the payout schedule as the 10th of the month with no hold, which made systeme.io look far faster than ClickFunnels’ 45 day cooling off period. There is a minimum 30 day hold. systeme.io’s own worked example is a 13 February purchase paying on 10 April, which is 56 days. The gap between the two programs on payout speed is real but much narrower than this page implied. Full detail in the systeme.io review.

Read the qualification row twice.

systeme.io hands 60% to anybody who signs up, today, with no approval and no minimum. ClickFunnels puts its software commission behind $1,000 of sales in a rolling thirty days and a manual review, and only gets to 40% once you are moving forty accounts a month.

So the honest summary is not “one pays more.”

One pays a beginner. The other pays a producer.

If you already have an audience, the ClickFunnels gate is a formality. If you do not, 30% of nothing and 40% of nothing are the same number.

One thing I could not establish: whether ClickFunnels’ software commission recurs. The tiers article does not say, and I am not going to assume it either way. systeme.io states lifetime recurring in plain words on its own page.

Where This Comparison Falls Short

I use one of these and not the other. I run systeme.io. I have not run a ClickFunnels account in years. Everything in the ClickFunnels columns is read off their pricing page rather than out of my own back office, and you should weight it accordingly.

Pricing pages are not the whole product. Neither table captures speed, support quality, template quality or how either one behaves when something breaks. Those decide more than price does after month three.

“Unlimited” is doing work in both directions. systeme.io says unlimited contacts and unlimited sends. Every provider that says unlimited has a fair use position somewhere, and I have not tested where systeme.io’s sits.

60% recurring is a heavy thumb on the scale. systeme.io pays affiliates 60% for the life of the customer with no approval step, which is why the search results for this comparison are wall-to-wall systeme.io recommendations. Including this one. The correct response is not to trust me harder, it is to open the two pricing pages yourself. Both are in the sources.

And I had two of those affiliate terms wrong here until 15 August 2026. The commission is 60% after VAT, not 60% of the price, and there is a 30 day hold before payout that this page did not mention. Both came off systeme.io’s own help center, and both made the program I get paid by look better than it is. If a page that discloses its conflict in the first sentence can still get the numbers wrong for a week, treat every other comparison you read on this topic accordingly.

No income figures appear here on purpose. If you are weighing this as an affiliate opportunity rather than a tool, the FTC rules for affiliates matter more than the commission rate does.

Who Should Pick Which?

Pick systeme.io if you are one person, under 10,000 contacts, and the monthly cost actually matters to you. That describes most people reading this, and the free plan means the decision costs nothing to test.

Pick systeme.io if you want courses and funnels in the same login without paying $97 for three courses.

Pick ClickFunnels if more than one person needs access. The seat counts are published and systeme.io’s are not.

Pick ClickFunnels if you are above 150,000 contacts, or you need a written email allowance rather than the word unlimited.

Pick neither yet if you have not built the offer. Both of these are plumbing - and plumbing does not fix a thing nobody wants. The number of people paying $97 a month to host an empty funnel would surprise you.

Switching platforms is like re-plumbing a house that already works. It is a weekend of unglamorous labour, most of it is behind a wall where nobody sees it, and you only do it because the old pipes are actually costing you something. If your current setup is not costing you anything, the honest advice is to leave it alone and go make an offer.

Start on the free plan if you are starting.

It costs nothing to find out. That is the whole argument.
